Group 2 - At Large (All Areas) Elected 4-year Term under the old Charter 4/1/2019-3/30/2024


Councilwoman Brown was elected on March 12, 2019 and sworn into office on April 1. She is the Director of the Ronda Coon Women’s Home for homeless and/or pregnant women and their babies. Before moving to Crestview in 2016, she was the home’s house mother until 2015, then became the director. No stranger to politics on the local level, Miss Brown was on Catlettsburg, Kentucky, City Council and was appointed to the Finance Committee.  She worked with Catlettsburg Main Street program to help preserve the community’s Historical District. Other professional experience includes being a teacher and medical secretary. Miss Brown has a BA in Journalism with minors in History and Business Administration and an MA in Communications from Morehead State University.


Personal:

Councilwoman Brown has two special nephews and other family that visits regularly. Her ladies from the RCWH are also her adopted daughters. She is active in her Covenant Community Church, Fort Walton Beach.
