I received a tag on my cart, what is that about?

Adams Sanitation Crews tag carts when collection is unable to be collected for any of the following reasons:

  • Yard waste is out of specification. For grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, and trimmings, please bag and place them at the curbside. For limbs place in bundles of less than 50 pounds each and tied. Tree limbs and palm fronds should be cut to a maximum length of six feet. Limbs may not have a diameter of more than four inches. Please prepare yard waste to these specifications, and it will be collected on your next yard waste collection day.
  • Bulk items cannot be loaded in the truck. Items have been noted and will be removed within 3 working days.
  • Bulk items not covered by franchise. Use the Adams Sanitation App to schedule pick up for a additional fee.
  • Hazardous waste in cart, please call the County for Hazardous Waste Drop-off, (850) 689-5774. More information about Hazardous Waste is listed above in the FAQs.
  • Prohibited materials in recycling cart, please REMOVE any items
